The Camping

It is situated in a panoramic position, from where you can see the valleys and the countryside that encircle the hill of Volterra until touching the medieval walls. The camp-site is only one km far from the beautiful historical centre and it is really close to one of the most exiciting of Volterra territory. The camp-site "Le Balze", in fact, takes its name from the place itself, immense and evocative cliffs that reveal the history of Volterra's land. It is at the feet of a powerful walls that nowadays seem to defent it from a fascinating precipice.

The camp-site is close to supermarkets (only 300 mt), storees and restaurants and moreover you can catch the bus that leads you directly in the historical center.

The wide sites are plain and shadowy thanks to a natural vegetation; from most of them you can admire Volterra and the beautiful Church of San Giusto.
It was realized in the 80's by the City Council of Volterra, and it has been completely renewed in its services by the new management, which is running it from 1999. It is remarkable for its professionality and for its hospitability and courtesy.

It is encircled by a pleasant and relaxant climate and it is the right place to find peace and serenity.
